Taking a Holiday in the Black Forest? Welcome to the "Berggasthof "

Would you enjoy a few silent days in the Black Forest ? Alone, with your family or your friends, or have a business meeting? In this cases we are pleased that you are interested in spending this event in our house. Here you can spend your holidays, relax or get rid of some extra pounds and even decontaminate your body.

Our cozy hotel has existed since 1928 and is situated at about 900 m (2950 ft.) at the highest point in St. Georgen, surrounded by a nice garden with old trees and a lawn to bask in the sun and relax. Besides 2 lounges with chimney, it also has a sauna and a solarium, as well as a terrace to relax in the sun. With a few steps you will be in a forest, that invites you to long walks, trekking, jogging, or, in winter, to cross country skiing. Municipality and indoor swimming also are reached after about 2 min walking. The village is also reached in a few minutes for a shopping tour.

In summer the "Klosterweiher", the local lake, invites for swimming outdoor in the free nature, and especially the children enjoy their stay in the clean air. In town you also will find one of the most important collections of modern art in Europe, with oeuvres from Martin Kippenberger for example, and also the famous German phonographic museum.

If you are interested we can offer you, besides the classical bed and breakfast, a revival of your body after the method of Johann Schroth called Schrothkur which is a tradition in our house since 35 years.

If you feel a bit hungry, we may offer you different soups, plates with various specialties from the Black Forest and more. The rich breakfast, including house made jams and marmalade, bread and rolls from the region will give you all the energy to spend a beautiful day.
